2005年，Daniel Powter带着他的冠军歌曲Bad Day如飓风般席卷了欧美各大排行榜。今年34岁的Daniel Powter可谓是15年磨一剑的坚忍典范。自幼酷爱音乐的他，富有才情却在音乐生涯上处处碰壁，直到32岁才和唱片公司签约。

Daniel Powter出生于加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚省的小城Vernon。受邀参加过Live 8（柏林分场）大型演唱会。2004年，单曲Bad Day首次曝光于法国的一条可口可乐的宣传广告，之后立即引起轰动。Daniel的同名处女专辑由他与制作人Mitchell Froom和Jeff Dawson共同完成。专辑中包括10首曲目，首首精致动听。主打单曲Bad Day是一首舒心的流行作品，简约的钢琴伴奏缓缓飘入耳际，Daniel清新高亢的歌声不时穿插着假声转换，显得具有力度而又不失流畅感。除了流行的Pop元素外，Daniel还尝试将Funk、Soul、Rock巧妙地融为一炉，打造新鲜而富有感染力的新声音。
